Is a Bike Fit Necessary?
When I first started biking as an adult, I had no clue about bike fitting. I didn't even know it was a thing or that it could make my ride more comfortable. I only cared about finding a fast and lightweight bike to race triathlons. So, I snagged a carbon bike off Craigslist, thinking it was a great deal. But boy, was I wrong! I had no idea what I didn't know about bike fitting.

Returning to cycling, or any sport, can be more challenging than you remember. After an extended break from sport, it is important to remember where you are, not where you used to be. We must remember that we didn’t start where we left off; we worked up to that point over time. Let’s dive into a safe, productive return to sport, no matter why you were not participating.

The challenges we face are what build our character. Don't be so scared of failing that you never really challenge yourself. The biggest failure any of us can have is to never try. If you want something find a way to make it happen. Work towards it in all that you do and you will see success.

Riding in winter can be challenging - but also fun! Snow on the ground doesn’t mean being stuck inside on the trainer, staring at the walls. Winter riding just takes a little more planning and realistic expectations.
